Well I whipped that up in two hours *pats shoulder*

Based on the song 'Gravity' by Sara Bareilles [link]

For a long time now I've connected the song to Hera, it fits her situation perfectly, except probably x10 in intensity, but only today have I had the inspiration to draw something for it (I've attempted sketches, but they all failed miserably). It seriously just BAM hit me! I LOVE IT when that happens!

The red line is the infamous 'red string of fate' from chinese mythology that is supposed to connect men and women who are destined to be together.
Now obviously I took a bit of an irony part to it, since Hera and Zeus should never have been together in the first place. So as you can see Hera's red string is choking her and binding her forever to the man she hates.

I'd imagine Zeus to have Hera's string on one hand, a thousand others on the other hand. Which I might draw later on.

Found out a new way of shading hair

(again OTL I need to find a permanent method I like D

and I really like the outcome, although it's a bit too dark. Need to experiment more with that

And, for once, I didn't need a tutorial, I taught myself this method, which makes it all the cooler

Anyway, I'll go back to doing things I /should/ be doing, like commissions for example. Talking about commissions;

If you are tying up Zeus with all these loves, it might give a drawing completely red except perhaps his blue eyes coming out of nowhere. XD
Poor Hera.

I like the idea that China is bound to be loved by the famous red wire. I 'm a little romantic.

This concept is fantastic! I'm not much of a Hera fan, and this is making me start to like her more (which is good!) Anyways, this is just so beautiful!

Thank you so much! I'm glad that I'm bringing out more Hera love! There's so many people that don't like her, I really just find her character fascinating! I can't stop drawing her D: There should be another sketchdump up tomorrow >.>
